Kim Jones received her J.D.  from Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2003.  Prior to joining Viswanath Jones, she specialized exclusively in real estate, secured transactions and insurance law.  Her work involved extensive title resolution, valuation, and creditors rights matters for primary lenders and secondary mortgage market lenders over ten years including the height of the mortgage crisis in the past decade. 

Prior to law school, Ms. Jones began her career writing for newspapers covering legal, school board and local municipalities in Jackson County, Michigan and was responsible for service by publication of foreclosure, probate and other matters for the Oakland County Legal News in the late 1990s.

She served as Alumni Board President for her alma mater, Spring Arbor University from 2010 through 2012.  

Outside of the firm, she trains her Shetland Sheepdog, Rudy, and her Shepherd, Dasher, who is blind.  She enjoys her study of the Bible and has taught childrens' classes ranging from Kindergarten to Middle School.  Her life verse is Psalm 20:7.
